The Mytholmroyd Wordstone
Working with Simon Armitage and young writers from Calderdale
Our Wordstone in Myfholmroyd is set in the Memorial Gardens and is one of a series of artworks featured in a new improvement programme to the Calderdale section of the Rochdale Canal.
The ‘Canal Connections’ programme is a £1m project designed to improve this stretch of canal and the the towpath between Redacre and Burnley Road. It includes a series of individual new landmarks along the canal, including a number of new art installations that are rooted in the area.
