Don’t Just Sit There

Working with schools and colleges and a mix of european and chinese dance traditions, five companies explored where sport meets art and the five Chinese elements – fire, metal, earth, wood and water.

The results were performed by over 800 young people in showcases, half times at the rugby and during the tea interval of the Australia-Pakistan Test Match.

The project even had it’s own anthem “When I move, the World Moves Too“, that became its own spin-off project.

In collaboration with: Northern Ballet, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Artforms Leeds, Open Minds Theatre Company, Lishi and young people from schools and colleges around Yorkshire.
