A mysterious 10m high stone block appeared in the centres of Barnsley and York.
In situ for a week, the block became the focus of interventions and performances, with public responses captured on ‘block-cam’ and shared by 20,000 people on-line. Watch the films, made from over a hundred hours of block-cam.

“The immovable block is fantastic, its been a very long time since something in the town centre has been so engaging for anyone. Its great to see a bit of life in the town, who’d have thought it would have come from such an innate piece. Like it or loath it people are talking about it and engaging together. I take my hat off to the installation. Thank you!”
