Becky is co-writer and performer of Imove’s Haunt, a site-specific theatre commission about homelessness.
Becky Cherriman is a writer, workshop leader and performer based in Leeds. Published by Seren, Mslexia, New Walk, Envoi, Mother’s Milk, Bloodaxe, Well Versed and in Poets For Corbyn, she was resident poet for Morley Literature Festival in 2013 and lead artist for Altofts Festival In A Day 2016.
She is currently working on a novel and a one act show.
Her first poetry pamphlet Echolocation and first collection Empires of Clay were published in 2016 by Mother’s Milk and Cinnamon Press respectively.
Known locally for her writing workshops and for her collaborative work with other artists, Becky is one of the facilitators of the Ilkley Young Writers and Bradford Young Writers and also works regularly for Artlink West Yorkshire and The Hepworth Wakefield.
She has also written two novels. Material from her first novel, Yellow Brick Roads, a coming-of-age novel inspired by her wild experiences of living with friends in a dingy self-contained flat in Harrogate in the mid 90s was published in the anthology Haunt and formed part of the Haunt Harrogate show www.beckycherriman.com
